Full Size Air Mattress

Queen and twin are the most commonly manufactured and sold sizes for air mattresses. The double size or full size air mattress is an odd size between the twin size and the queen size, making it wide and comfortable for one adult who rolls around or tight but acceptable for two. It’s a good option for small spaces like a motor home or 2-person tent when you go camping.

Here are my recommendations for full size air beds. Do remember that there aren’t many full size air mattress models in the market, so these are based on the best among this particular size only.

Best Full Size Air Mattress

If you don’t need a really high rise air bed, the Intex Comfort Plush Dura-Beam Airbed is the best full size air mattress that gives great value and comfort for a very affordable price. Most Intex air mattresses are cheap, but this is one of the better quality ones with a built in pump.
Intex Comfort Plush Full Size Air bed
This 13-inch tall air mattress is really comfortable and doesn’t move or bounce a lot when fully inflated. You can easily plug in the cord and inflate or deflate it using the dial knob, but on the downside, an external pump cannot be used for this full size air mattress, so if you’re planning to use this for camping at a site without electricity, you may want to check out other good air mattresses for camping.

Inflating and deflating this air mattress take a mere couple of minutes. If you like your mattress soft and plushy, you could release some air with a quick turn to deflate after fully inflating the air mattress. When fully inflated, this air mattress is really firm and hard, but we found that it does lose a bit of air throughout the night.

I recommend getting this full size air mattress for a guest or kids coming over. Check out the price here.

Best Full Size Air Mattress for Camping

For camping you may want to look at the Coleman Quickbed full size air mattress. This is a low profile air mattress that is really portable and light, so with a battery pump you could set up camp anywhere. The pump is not included so you’ll need to buy either a Coleman pump or one that is compatible.
Coleman Quickbed Full size air mattress
The great thing about this air mattress is that it’s very affordable, and the material is good enough to last more than a year. At least, that’s how long we’ve used it for. It’s comfortable enough to camp on for a week or two, before the longing for a taller bed calls.

Remember to inflate and test the Quickbed out of the box as it is always possible with air mattresses that you may receive one with a defect or leak. We had one replaced immediately when we found that it didn’t keep air, and the second one was perfectly fine.

Check out the price here.

Another great full size air mattress for camping is the Mountain Trails Basic air mattress.
Mountain Trails Full size basic camp bed
This is also a great lightweight air mattress that works with an external electric or battery pump. The soft suede top makes it really nice to sleep on but we always use bed sheets and sometimes a mattress topper for extra comfort.

The valve is designed to keep the air in and the air mattress did hold air well for many days. The air coils provide good support and created a flat surface that is good for our back.

This full size air mattress also comes at a very affordable price.

Best Heavy Duty Full Size Air Mattress

SimplySleeper SS-58RF Full Size Air Bed
For a more durable material, the SimplySleeper SS-58RF is the full size air mattress to get. We’ve used air mattresses from SimplySleeper for many years, and they’re known to make really tough and hardy air beds compared to other brands. The only other brand I can think of that uses thick material for their air beds is the Fox Airbeds, but they don’t make full size air beds.

This air bed is taller than those above. At 18 inches, this is easy to get in and out of. If you’re looking for a full size air mattress as an everyday bed, this is probably a better choice than the Intex Comfort Plush recommended above as it’ll last longer. It can hold up to 600 pounds of total weight, and comes with a convenient built in pump.

This full size air mattress is much more expensive though. Here’s the best price.

Queen Air Mattress With Built In Pump

Convenience won over budget cutting when I tried to decide whether to get a queen air mattress with built in pump or without one. A battery pump may work just as well but there’s nothing like inflating an air bed quickly with a built in, electric pump. When guests come over to my house, I only have to plug in the cable and turn a switch to get the air bed ready.

As it has become popular to buy an air bed to save space or for relieving back pain, there are quite a number of queen size air mattresses in the market. I’ve listed out the top queen air mattresses with built in pump here.

Best Queen Air Mattress With Built In Pump

The Insta-Bed is the best queen air bed for its overall great features, reasonable price and durability. I love how stable the air bed is, thanks to the support of 35 air coils inside the air mattress. Absolutely no wobbling about in your dreams!
insta-bed queen air mattress with built in pump
But the best feature that we love about the Insta-Bed is its secondary pump, which keeps the the air mattress fully inflated to our preset firmness AT ALL TIMES, without our interference! This pump is more like a sensor which picks up when the air bed has lost air due to temperature difference or material stretch or any reason at all, and tops up air on its own.

The 18-inch height is just nice for getting into bed easily and we bought it for our visiting parents who are elderly enough to be exempted from camping.

In terms of convenience and price, this queen size air mattress wins hands down over others in the same price range (see the price for the Insta-Bed here), though I would prefer the SoundAsleep queen air mattress for even better support and comfort.
soundasleep dream series queen air mattress with built in pump
The SoundAsleep Dream Series queen size air mattress with built in pump has five more air coils than the Insta-Bed, and I love that the ridge around the edges of the air mattress helps steady it and keep our pillows on the bed. I think this is the best mattress for back pain!

This 19-inch high queen air mattress comes with a built in pump that inflates it in 4 minutes. The first time I inflated the air bed the material stretched and lost air over the first night, but after I topped it up for the second night it didn’t lose any more air for days after that.

The SoundAsleep Dream Series comes slightly more expensive than the Insta-Bed, though it’s still a good value for money because ours has lasted for over two years and still going strong. Check the price here.

Another highly recommended queen size air mattress with pump is the SimplySleeper SS-89Q. I have owned several SimplySleeper air mattresses, and I must say they make really durable ones.

SimplySleeper SS-89Q queen air bed with pump

This queen air bed makes a difference if you have pet cats or dogs who sleep with you. You do have to cover the air mattress with a protector and bed sheets, but the tough material that makes this air bed is good enough not to pop at the slightest hint of paw action.

This air bed is not as comfortable as the two above, nor is it more comfortable than the cheaper Intex model that I will include below, but for leak-proof and burst-proof durability, nothing beats the SimplySleeper. The pump works quickly and not too loudly to inflate it, and deflates it nicely for the storage bag too. See the price of this queen air bed here.

A cheaper option is to get the Intex Comfort Plush 22-inch high queen air mattress. This queen air bed with pump comes at about half the price of all those above, a real steal if you don’t care much about durability or ability to hold air.

Intex Comfort Plush Queen Air Bed

This is a great buy for those who are looking for a raised queen size air mattress to sleep on for a few days instead of long term, and not wanting to spend too much. It can be a spare bed for the occasional camp trip too.

The air bed will stretch and lose air over time but it’s not difficult to top up air with the built in pump. The 22-inch height is a really good height for those who have less flexibility in the back. Although it does not have great support coils, this Intex air bed is comfortable enough to sleep on. Get this air mattress with free shipping over here.

On the other hand, if you need an air mattress for camping, none of the above are great choices especially if you will be sleeping in a small tent, because all are high rise air beds that will take up a lot of space in your tent, and they do not weigh lightly for your backpack either.

Most camping air mattresses, even the best air mattresses for camping, require an external pump. If you want a built in pump, the Coleman Quickbed Elite is a rare camping air mattress that comes with one, powered by 4 D cell batteries.

camping air mattress with built in pump

It takes about five minutes to set up this air mattress in the tent, including the time to inflate it fully, and it fits well in a 3 to 4-person tent with ample space left for storing other gear. I like that the air mattress is a bit thicker than most low air mattresses, so it’s really comfortable.

The common complaint for the Quickbed Elite is a popped seam after a certain amount of use. As it is difficult to repair that, I would consider myself lucky if it doesn’t happen in a year. The air mattress is rather affordable though, and the value for money is good enough for some to buy this over and over again. Check out the price here.

Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump

Whether you need an air mattress for overnight guests or for your own daily use, it’s good to have one with a built-in pump as it’ll save a lot of hassle for you. One turn of the dial or switch in the air bed and it will automatically inflate or deflate itself in a few minutes.

Here I’ve listed out the best twin air mattresses with built in pump that you can consider.

Best Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump

Insta-Bed Raised Twin Air Mattress
The Insta-Bed is one of my favorite air mattresses with its patented Never Flat pump. This high rise, twin air bed has not one but two pumps to keep your air bed inflated at your preferred firmness at all times.

One of the pumps is a normal one that you can turn and inflate or deflate the air mattress, while the other one is more of a sensor, which detects any loss of air during the night and adds air automatically when the air bed has soften.

This is the best twin air mattress with built in pump to consider if you are getting one for everyday use. It has support coils which make it really comfortable and sturdy to sleep on.

Here’s where you can get it for a good price.

Best Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump Under $100

SoundAsleep Dream Series Twin Air Bed
For less than $100 you could get the SoundAsleep Dream Series Twin Air Mattress with built in pump, which is a tight competition for the Insta-Bed. In fact, my wife feels that this is the better twin air bed because it’s softer and it takes very little time to pump up.

The air coils help keep the air mattress flat and sturdy at its 18-inch height. We found that this twin air mattress doesn’t lose air over a few days after the initial stretch of the material, which was very little.

If you want a twin air mattress with built in pump to accommodate guests and don’t want to pay over $100, the SoundAsleep Dream Series is the one to get.

Here’s where you can get it for a good price.

Most Durable Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump

SimplySleeper SS-47T
Camp goers or whoever wants to find a single high twin air mattress that is made of scratch-proof and durable material, the SimplySleeper SS-47T is your thing. This twin air mattress comes with a built-in pump, which is rare in single high twin air mattresses.

Our family friend who is a cat owner testifies that this air mattress survived his cat’s advances, though he did put bed sheets over it. A couple of reviewers who bought this actually used it when they served in the war a few years ago, hats off to them.

For normal people like us, this twin air mattress blows up easily and quickly, and is really comfortable to sleep on, though you’ll definitely want some bedding on it to prevent the material from making squeaky sounds when you turn in your sleep.

Here’s where you can get this twin air mattress with built in pump.

Most True to Size Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump

Fox Airbeds Plush High Rise Twin Air Mattress
What tall people hate most about air mattresses is that they don’t come true to their size. The Fox Airbeds Plush High Rise Twin Air Mattress boasts an exact 80-inch length and this means you won’t have to feel uncomfortable with your feet too close to the end of the bed.

The Fox Airbeds Plush air mattress is made of a thick vinyl that lasts. This helps keep the air in so there isn’t a need to top up the air often. I love how the pump quickly inflates the air mattress to its full size, and it also deflates the air mattress completely so you can roll it away.

The downside is that this twin air bed is heavy, so you might not want to buy it for camping, and the storage bag included is not sturdy enough for this entire piece of vinyl. For use as a guest bed or everyday bed? Highly recommended.

Click here to get it at a bargain price.

Cheap Twin Air Mattress With Built In Pump

Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest Raised Airbed
If you want to spend less than $50 for a temporary twin air bed that has the convenience of a built in pump, the Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest is the best you can get.

The raised edges are a good feature to keep you comfortably tucked in the middle of the air mattress. The built in pillow rest is all right if you don’t have pillows, and keeps your pillow in place if you have one.

It’s comfortable enough for a few nights sleep though I wouldn’t use this over a long period myself, as I felt that it didn’t offer enough support.

Click here to get this twin air bed with built-in pump.

If you have space you may want to consider a queen air mattress with built in pump instead of a twin. Queen air mattresses are not much more expensive than twin size air mattresses. You can find more recommendations in my best air mattress reviews page.

King Size Air Mattress

There aren’t many choices in the market for king size air mattresses, and you’d thought it’d be easier to make a decision on which king size air mattress to buy, however that is not the case, as you’ll start wondering if it’s worth putting your money in an expensive king air bed that gets few reviews over a queen size air bed that people are raving about.

If you are looking for the best king size air mattress for everyday use or for camping, I’ve picked the top 3 most highly rated and popular king size air mattress to review here.

Best High Rise King Size Air Bed

A high rise or raised king size air mattress that is good value for money is the Plush High Rise Inflatable Bed by Fox Airbeds. This king size air mattress inflates true to its size so you’ll be pleased to find that it’s huge enough for two adults to sleep comfortably.
best king size air mattress

The material that makes this king size air bed is thick nylon so it can be heavier than most air mattresses, but that contributes to its longevity. I like how it stays firm for many days without having to top up any air. In fact, I’ve had it inflated for 15 days and at the end it didn’t feel any different from the very first day it was pumped up.

This king size air mattress is very easy to inflate with its built in pump, but you could also use an external pump of your own if you don’t happen to have an outlet nearby. You can buy this air bed for the best price here.

To take the comfort an extra step further, this air bed is available in a set with a 2-inch thick gel memory foam mattress topper and two small pillows at just an extra $70. That’s a real bargain even for the memory foam topper alone, as this is a king size air mattress. I’d say go for the whole set even though the pillows are really rather small, because with the mattress topper you’ll feel as if you’re sleeping on a real bed.

Fox Airbeds Plush High Rise with mattress topper

I wouldn’t bring this king size air mattress to camping though, since it’s heavy to lug around. If you need a king size air mattress for camping, look at the Coleman models below.

Best Cheap King Size Air Mattress

coleman quickbed king size air mattress
A very affordable king size air mattress that you can easily bring everywhere with you is the Coleman Quickbed. Although not a high end or luxurious air bed, this air mattress is really comfortable. For the cheap price, we wouldn’t complain about the lack of durability either.

You should take care not to overfill the air mattress, or you’ll risk having the dents on top pop out. The proper way of inflating this air mattress for the first time is to pump it up until almost firm, and then roll on it to move the air into the pockets or crannies before filling it up all the way. We really don’t like sleeping on those dents, so a mattress topper is a must.

This king size air mattress does not come with a pump, but you can buy a Coleman pump separately if you don’t already own an electric pump. The cheapest electric pumps cost anything from $12 to $15. See the best price for this air mattress.

King Size Air Mattress for Camping

The Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed wins when it comes to versatility and value for price. This convertible 2-piece air mattress can be used as a king size air mattress when clipped together, or as two twin size air mattresses separately, or you could stack them up to become a high twin.
Coleman 4 in 1 Quickbed
This works great if you need to use a king size for camping and twin beds for guests at home, or the other way round. I like that the beds don’t move around when they are connected, whether in the king size style or in the stacked twin style.

Bear in mind though, that since the king size is made up of connecting two twin beds, there is a gap in the middle of the king air mattress. The only way I could think of to get around this is to use a king size mattress topper and fitted sheets on it.

If you are buying this from Amazon, make sure to test both of the air mattresses for leaks or defects within the 30 days frame for return, as I’ve noticed that a few people complained about getting a leak in one of the mattresses.

Well, I hope these recommendations will help you find the king size air mattress that is comfortable and yet won’t break the bank. Air Mattress With Frame

If you like standard air mattresses for less bounciness in the night and raised air beds for easy getting into, an air mattress with frame gives you the best of both worlds.

The frame elevates the air mattress to the height of a real bed, so if you have back pain or difficulty bending down you’ll find the height just right for you to swing your legs to the floor and sit up just like in a regular bed.

For our parents sleeping over our place occasionally, we wanted them to sleep comfortably but a regular queen size bed is too much space for us to give up for good. We rolled out our Coleman camping cot for them once and they seemed to like it, so in the end we upgraded to the Insta-Bed air mattress with frame.

Best Air Mattress With Frame for Guests

Insta-Bed EZ Bed is similar to the Serta EZ Air Mattress but the latter comes at a slightly higher price. We saw both the air mattresses with their frames, and there was no substantial difference between the two. Both are great air mattresses that come in one piece with the frame and included a built in pump.
instabed air mattress with frame

The EZ Bed is easy to roll out in its bag with wheels, unzipped and then unfolded together with the frame. Just plug it into the wall and turn the dial to inflate the air mattress. What I like is the second pump just like the Insta-Bed raised air bed; it has sensors to maintain the firmness of the air mattress automatically, so you don’t have to manually add air to the mattress when its firmness has decreased.

This air mattress is really firm and we could tell immediately that it is comfortable, however, I didn’t like sleeping on the little dents around the support air coils, so we put a thin mattress pad on top and that made it even more comfortable.

Although there’s no sagging and the air bed remains firm throughout several nights, it does move when one sleeper turns in sleep or gets up. This is perfectly normal as we haven’t found any air mattress that is capable of not doing that yet.

The only downside of this air bed with frame is the price. This is a rather expensive air mattress to buy but for our parents’ regular visits we felt it was worth it.

Best Air Mattress With Frame for Camping

best air mattress with frame for camping

For camping you may want to consider the Coleman Airbed Cot instead, because this air mattress with frame weighs lighter than the EZ Bed, and weighing at about 20 lbs, it’s not as light as other air mattresses without frame either.

We love using the Coleman air mattress with frame when we know the ground would be cold. The frame keeps us away from the cold ground and we managed to use the space beneath for storage, so we did not waste any space in the tent for the air bed.

We also came to love the side tables that we scorned at initially, but which proved to be useful for us to place our phones and small items.

The Coleman Cot comes in both queen size and twin size cots. Both take regular bed sheets nicely, and we always use bed linen because: 1) it’s more comfortable and feels like home; 2) it keeps us warmer; and 3) it helps mask any squeaky sounds the air mattress may make.

best twin air mattress with frame

For the Coleman air mattress you’ll need to use the included pump that is powered by 4D batteries, so make sure you pack the batteries before you head out.

The queen size Coleman air mattress with frame is cheaper than the EZ bed for the less luxurious features, but it’s certainly more suited for camping needs. Best Air Mattress for Camping

Planning for your next camping trip? The camping air mattress is something you wouldn’t want to leave out, and you’ll want the best air mattress for camping because it really makes a lot of difference in your camping experience.

What is the best air mattress for camping then? Let’s not get too technical, we’ve found the top camping air mattresses for different kinds of campers, so you’ll be bound to find the right one from this list.

Best Queen Size Camping Air Mattress

Best Queen Size Camping Air Mattress
If you’re looking for a camping air mattress for 2, the SoundAsleep camping series is the best deal. It’s made of extra thick and sturdy material to give you ease of mind while sleeping outdoors. We had never experienced any leak of air from this air mattress and it never needed us to top up air for the few days we were camping.

This air mattress comes with an external pump that is battery powered, so make sure you charge up the battery before you leave home. However, you can still charge it up in the car with the car lighter if you forgot. While the 9-inch height is low this means it is lighter to carry, inflates more quickly (within 3 minutes), and rolls up smaller compared to higher air beds.

Suitable for: Campers and hikers-on-the-go, who set up camp anywhere and not limited to one camp site.

Read my full review for the best camping queen air mattress.

Best Camping Air Mattress With Frame

Best Camping Air Mattress With Frame
If you prefer to sleep off of the ground, go for the Coleman Queen Air Bed Cot. This air mattress comes with a sturdy steel frame that holds up to 600 lbs. We used this on various surfaces including grass, soil and uneven rocky terrain. The air bed held up well and we never felt that it was going to give out at any moment.

Like all tall air beds, you’ll need a wider tent to take this in, preferably cabin tents. The frame is foldable and you can certainly roll up the air bed when it’s deflated, though be warned that the entire set and the included battery pump can weigh a little more than you’d wish to carry on your back. The comfort may be worth it, maybe?

Suitable for: Campers with a large tent, who drive right up to the camp site.

Check out the Coleman Cot here.

Best Durable Camping Air Mattress

Best Durable Camping Air Mattress
Tired of popping air mattresses? Time to get an air mattress that won’t pop at the slightest poke or scratch. This Lightspeed Outdoors air mattress for two is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that is much more durable than the usual PVC air mattresses, and as this material doesn’t stretch as much as PVC, it is less prone to damage and losing air.

This durable camping air mattress is very light. It is one of the lightest air mattresses we’ve tried. It inflates and deflates using the included battery pump, which received some comments about it not being powerful enough, though we found it was okay and inflated the mattress within 4 minutes. It’s also helpful to remove all air from the air mattress quickly so that you can roll it up.

Suitable for: Campers and hikers on-the-go, who camp anywhere and everywhere.

See the best price for the Lightspeed Outdoors.

Best Twin Size Camping Air Mattress

ALPS Mountaineering Rechargeable Air Bed
I had a hard time deciding between the Coleman EasyStay and this Alps Mountaineering as the best twin size air mattress for camping, but eventually picked the Alps Mountaineering twin size for its thicker material and included rechargeable pump. You may plug the pump into a normal outlet or the car lighter to charge it up.

This twin air mattress is very comfortable to sleep on as it is very firm after inflating it to the max. Inflating is fast with the powerful pump. You’ll have to pump it up a few times to max out the stretch of the PVC before putting it to real use though, because it loses a bit of air when the stretch happens.

Suitable for: Campers who don’t like packing batteries.

Here’s how much the Alps Mountaineering cost.

Intex Raised Downy Air Mattress – Cheap Queen Air Bed

If you are looking for a cheap queen air bed, the Intex Raised Downy Air Mattress is a great air mattress that incorporates all the features of a top end air mattress, yet comes at a very reasonable price. It has an electric pump that is inbuilt which can deflate or inflate the air mattress within a matter of minutes.
Intex Raised Downy Queen Air Bed
Good for Both Indoors and Outdoors

It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and when you are out camping and lack an outlet it can also be inflated by a foot-operated pump, or you could use your 12v car lighter if you have a converter. These are the essential features that you would look for in a good air mattress, portability and ease of operations, and the Intex Raised Downy Air Mattress offers all this.

One more essential feature to look for in an air mattress is the comfort that it provides. Other than being 22 inches above the floor which gives you a real ‘bed-like’ feeling, the Intex Downy Queen air bed also has two separate chambers to provide comfort and extra support.

The lower chamber works like a box spring to give support, while the upper chamber is flocked and has coils like springs in a regular bed mattress to provide the utmost comfort. The height of the inflated mattress is one great feature that will surprise you since most other air mattresses inflate to only 18 inches above the floor. The extra inches makes getting into and out from the air bed a lot easier, especially for older people or people with back pain.

The air mattress also has a notch to let you fit in sheets over its flocked surface to ensure that they remain secure when you sleep on it.

Can’t Beat the Cheap Price

And when it comes to price, you simply cannot get a queen size air bed better than the Intex Raised Downy Air Mattress! Its price is so incredibly cheap that you will start wondering how the manufacturer can afford selling it at that price despite it having the features of the more expensive air beds.

Perhaps the quality of the material used to make this cheap queen air bed isn’t top notch and may not last as long as the expensive air beds, but the comfort of sleeping on it isn’t compromised.

Not Really Long Lasting

The downsides of the air mattress are few. Storing the air bed after use might be a problem sometimes because of the small bag provided, and some amount of innovative thinking might be required to fold it into the bag.

So if you are looking for a real cheap queen sized air bed as a temporary bed or camping air bed, the Intex Raised Downy Air Mattress is what you should be going for. It is a great buy at that price and you just can’t find any better below $50! Check out this air bed here.

SoundAsleep Dream Series – Best Twin Air Bed

The twin SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress is the best twin air bed you are gong to get in the market, despite other similar brands costing twice or even thrice the price at which it is sold. It is manufactured with the highest quality durable material which makes it resistant to all punctures and leakages, and its inbuilt pump, that features an anti-leakage valve, restricts all outward flow of air from the nozzle, preventing deflation even after you use it extensively.
SoundAsleep Dream Series Twin Air Bed

Raised From the Floor for Extra Comfort

Its extra height and innovation of design makes it all the more comfortable. With its higher support coil density within the air mattress, it provides you with uniform weight distribution, and lets you sleep unhindered through the night to wake up rejuvenated and refreshed each time.

The SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress can be inflated or deflated within a couple of minutes, it’s so fast! And all you got to do is push a button and the pump does the rest of the work after you have set it to the firmness level you want. The surface of the air mattress is flocked and thick, providing the extra comfort when you sleep on it. This material is waterproof, so it can be used for camping safely and still washed easily.

The bottom of the bed is designed in a way that makes it grip the ground firmly so that it doesn’t slide around when you turn in the air mattress during your sleep. It is also sufficiently high for ease of your elderly guests who may have trouble getting in and out of low slung beds. You can also easily fold it and store it away in a bag until you use it the next time.

Leave It Out to Rid of Plastic Smell

In fact, the air mattress is so comfortable and easy to use that you may want to dump your existing one and use this instead!
The cons in this air mattress are few. When using it for the first time, there may be some plastic smell emanating from it. So it’s always prudent to take it out of the bag and air it for a few days until all plastic smell is gone before sleeping on it if you really hate that smell!

Some users complained that it leaked air after sometime, but I’ve used mine for months without more than the usual gradual lost of firmness over a few days, which could easily be fixed by turning the pump on for a few seconds. Perhaps they had punctured the air mattress somewhere?

If you are looking for a twin air mattress that holds air well, is comfortable, has an excellent pump, is easy to store and handle, and is made of the finest material, then SoundAsleep Dream Series Twin Air Mattress is the one that you should be buying. It is sturdy in construction, is extremely durable, and comes in an excellent design that blends easily with your other bedroom furniture.

The company also offers excellent after sales service and guarantee. This is the most important thing to look for when buying a new air mattress, since any compromise in that department will make you cry foul in case you need to call warranty to fix something. And all this comes at an excellent price! SoundAsleep Dream Series Twin is your best twin air mattress to buy.

Insta-Bed Raised Air Mattress – Best Queen Air Bed for Everyday Use

The queen size Insta-Bed Raised Air Mattress is the best queen air mattress that we’ve ever bought, and that means something because we’ve tried aplenty. If you are looking for a sturdy and firm air bed that is high or raised from the floor or to alleviate back pain, the Insta-Bed is your best bet. This queen air bed is the most sturdy air bed that we’ve ever slept on.

instabed queen size

Why It is So Sturdy and Firm

Basically, there are two pumps in this air mattress. The first one does all the job of inflating or deflating the air bed as and when needed, and it is switched on and off automatically. I loved this feature because keeping track of the air getting into the air mattress prevented me from doing anything else in that period.

The second or “NeverFlat” pump ensures that the air bed remains firm. If that is what the pump is doing then it is doing a good job of maintaining the air pressure in the air mattress. The problem with airbeds is that they lose their firmness after sometime, but Insta-Bed may prove to be an exception thanks to this technology.

The size that I bought is the queen size Insta-Bed. The dimensions of this bed are perfect and the bed sheets fitted nicely over the air bed. This bed has a height of 18″, which is tall enough for getting in and out of the bed easily. If it were a couple inches higher it would be better still, but I suppose this height makes it sturdier than if it were higher.

Air Coils Make It Feels Like A Real Bed

The manufacturer’s description suggests that there are 35 coils inside the Insta-Bed air mattress. I have no intention to verify that and lose this air mattress for good, but let me assure you that the air bed does not feel as if it is air bed. The air coils do help make the air bed feel like a traditional bed with coils.

This air bed folds and fits into a small bag, although if you are going to use this as an everyday bed, you’ll probably keep the air bed inflated at all times.

Conveniently Maintains Firmness

I really like how the NeverFlat pump automatically adds some air into the air bed when the pressure has gone down. The air mattress does not leak air, you understand, but as all air mattresses go, they will lose a small amount of air slowly and over a few days the air bed will become less firm compared to the time when you’ve just pumped it up.

The convenience of having the automatic pump with sensor means I don’t have to check the firmness of my Insta-Bed before going to sleep, and I don’t even have to manually add air into it if it’s not firm enough. The NeverFlat pump does it for me!

The verdict? This is the best air bed to buy if you want a queen size air mattress for everyday use. You can get it here.

Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest – Cheap Twin Air Bed

The plush yet sturdy Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest Raised Airbed is a great twin size air bed that comes at a real cheap price. Its raised pillow rest is really convenient (no more falling pillows!), and with its sturdy outer layer and flocked top inner air mattress, it also provides you the stability and comfort than no other air mattress at the same price can provide.

Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest Raised Airbed

Raised Air Bed with Pillow

The best feature of this air mattress that you are going to absolutely love is that the air bed is elevated at 19 inches from the floor. It also has an inbuilt pillow to add to your comfort. I like the pillow rest because it means I don’t have to use my own pillow and the pillow rest is fixed so it’s not going to go anywhere in the middle of the night!

Twin size sheets fit this air bed well. The flocking on the air mattress is waterproof, so maintaining it and keeping it clean gets a lot more easier for you.

Convenient Inflating

The inbuilt pump is another great advantage for those who don’t have an external pump. Having a pump with the air bed  The pump has enough power to inflate the air mattress within 2 minutes and you can actually do this at the mere touch of a button. There’s also a button to adjust the firmness of the air mattress.

builtin pump

However, do check that you have inflated the air mattress to its maximum on your first use. If the air bed is not shaped like pictured when pumped up, it’s possible that you haven’t inflated it enough. Also, as all air beds have a bit of give in its vinyl, some extra air will be needed a few hours after the initial pump.

The sides and bottom are supported with vinyl beams that provide adequate and comfortable support. Since vinyl tends to loosen over time, you need to carefully watch the air mattress if you are using it for more than a few days. Any sag can be corrected by re-pumping it to the max.

The air bed supports up to 300 pounds, so a heavy adult can sleep comfortably in the air mattress without fearing that it will burst open or sunk in the air mattress in the middle of the night!

Very Affordable Twin Size Air Bed

And as is true with all Intex air mattresses, the best thing about this twin raised pillow rest model is its price. It is absolutely and unbelievably cheap, and you will be surprised that you can own a twin size air bed with all the features of a top-end product at that price!

Any similar model will cost at least one-and-a-half times, if not more. But that doesn’t mean that Intex compromises quality in any way. The material used in constructing the air mattress and the construct itself is so robust and dependable that it gets evident Intex is not trying to cut corners and save money. They are obviously trying to offer you the best and keeping a fraction as profit for themselves.

Their logic is perhaps to capture a larger market share and make profit through bulk sales rather than making money through individual air mattress sales. Whatever their marketing logic be, you are the ultimate beneficiary as long as you are getting a great air mattress at a real bargain price!

So if you are looking for a twin size raised air bed, the Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest is a preferred choice and what I recommend. It is trustworthy because of its brand, dependable because of its construction, comfortable because of its excellent flocking and support, and dirt cheap because of its price with all the features that top brands offer. I am sure you are not going to regret your decision even for one day after buying it!
